About The Everglades

Itinerary / Trip
Day 1: Upon your arrival in the Everglades National Park, you'll check into your accommodations at the Flamingo Lodge, which is conveniently located within the park. The lodge offers comfortable rooms, and it's a great base for exploring the park. After checking in, you'll meet with a local fly fishing guide, such as Everglades Fishing Company, to discuss your fishing goals for the trip. The guide will provide you with all the necessary equipment and will take you to the best spots to catch fish in the park. On this first day, you'll target redfish, snook, and other species in the backcountry waters. After a full morning and afternoon of fishing, you'll return to the lodge in the late afternoon. For dinner, you can enjoy a delicious meal at the Everglades Seafood Depot, where you can try some local seafood dishes.
Day 2: On the second day, you'll start the day with an early morning fishing trip targeting tarpon in the park's rivers and creeks. Tarpon are a challenging species to catch, but they put up a strong fight and can reach over 100 pounds. After a full morning of fishing, you'll return to the lodge for lunch and a break. You can grab a sandwich at the local deli. In the afternoon, you'll head out for a half-day fishing trip in the park's coastal waters, targeting permit and bonefish. These species are known for being very elusive, but also for being a delicious catch. After a full afternoon of fishing, you'll return to the lodge and enjoy a dinner at the Chokoloskee Island Grill, where you can try some local seafood dishes.
Day 3: On the third day, you'll start the day with an early morning fishing trip targeting snook and redfish in the park's mangrove habitats. These species are known for being strong fighters and for being found in the mangrove habitats. After a full morning of fishing, you'll return to the lodge for lunch and pack up. You can grab a sandwich at the local deli. By late afternoon, you'll head home with memories of a successful fly fishing trip in the Everglades National Park.
